Translating and proofreading game content from English to German (in-game text, dialog, user manuals, websites, etc.)
Report project process to managers and project coordinators
Testing and quality assurance
Database maintenance
Creating and updating terminology lists for different projects
Work with other members of the group, in a team or as a project lead, respecting all procedures
Requirements:
Strong grammar skills in your native language German, and strong command of English
Must be an avid player of online and/or offline games and familiar with gaming terminology
A commitment to high quality service and a can-do attitude is a definite must
Familiarity with principles of internationalization, globalization and foreign cultures
Previous working experience in translation and preferably in games localization
University degree in translation studies is a plus
Strong knowledge of CAT tools such as TRADOS, MemoQ or Microsoft LEAF
Computer literacy MS Office (Excel, Word)
Must be a detail-oriented and flexible team player who is self-motivated, responsible, hard-working, innovative and deadline-oriented with the ability to handle several projects at the same time
Applicants must have a strong comprehension of the English language and must be well versed in American and native-language slang, colloquial expressions and gaming protocols
